Trekking and Climbing

The most common trek route is the Meru Route (also known as the Momella Route), which usually takes 3 to 4 days to reach the summit, depending on the climber's pace and acclimatization. The trek includes several camps along the way.

The summit, known as Uhuru Peak, offers breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding landscape, including an impressive view of Mount Kilimanjaro in the distance.

The best time to climb Mount Meru is during the dry seasons, which typically run from June to October and December to February. These periods offer favorable weather conditions for trekking. The rainy seasons (March to May and November) can make the trails slippery and challenging.
