Embark on an epic journey through Tanzania's most iconic safari destinations. From the endless plains of Serengeti to the calving grounds of Ndutu, this 5-day safari delivers unforgettable wildlife encounters, including the legendary Great Migration.
This 5-day itinerary takes you deep into two of Tanzania’s most revered wildlife habitats. The Serengeti offers vast open plains teeming with predators, while Ndutu — part of the greater Ngorongoro ecosystem — is a seasonal hotspot for the Great Migration calving season. Expect action, drama, and raw nature at its finest.
Located in the southern Serengeti ecosystem, the Ndutu region is most famous for the annual calving of wildebeest. Each year, between January and March, over 500,000 calves are born — attracting a high concentration of predators.
The flat, open grasslands here provide a front-row seat to one of nature’s most intense dramas, where life and death unfold daily. Ndutu is also ideal for off-road game drives, offering flexibility to follow wildlife closely.
The Serengeti National Park lies in northern Tanzania and is part of the larger Serengeti-Mara ecosystem that extends into Kenya. The Ndutu area sits on the southern border between Serengeti and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
