Join Origin Ventures and Safaris on a perfect short safari combining two contrasting gems: Tarangire National Park, known for its massive elephant herds and ancient baobabs, and Arusha National Park, a lush, green haven filled with flamingos, forests, lakes, and walking safaris.
This 2-day adventure offers a perfect snapshot of northern Tanzania's biodiversity, landscapes, and wildlife — ideal for those short on time but looking for big experiences.
After breakfast at your hotel in Arusha or Moshi, your safari guide will pick you up at 7:30 AM. You’ll head southwest to Tarangire National Park – known for its huge elephant herds, towering baobabs, and stunning dry riverbeds.
Spend the day game driving through the park, spotting lions, giraffes, buffaloes, impalas, warthogs, and dozens of colorful bird species. Tarangire is especially beautiful in the dry season when wildlife gathers at the riverbanks.
Enjoy a picnic lunch in a scenic spot, and continue your afternoon drive. Exit the park by late afternoon and head to a comfortable lodge near Arusha or inside the park (depending on your package). Dinner and overnight stay.
After an early breakfast, you’ll head to nearby Arusha National Park, a hidden gem that offers incredible diversity within a small area. Begin with a thrilling walking safari with an armed ranger — a chance to walk among giraffes, zebras, antelopes, and birds while learning about animal tracks and medicinal plants.
Later, explore the Momella Lakes — often filled with flamingos — and the lush Ngurdoto Crater, sometimes called the “Little Ngorongoro.” Stop for a packed lunch inside the park, followed by a final game drive through forests and open plains.
Return to Arusha by late afternoon (around 4:30–5:00 PM), marking the end of your unforgettable 2-day northern safari.
